What is TastemakersCHS?

Meet TasteMakersCHS- Charleston's culinary social media club that connects influencers, restaurants and nonprofits together under one umbrella. Comprised of a team of 40 with a combined reach of over 700k followers on Instagram, team TastemakersCHS is comprised of Holy City influencers with a passion for good food, drinks, conversation and giving back. We meet around twice a month at various Charleston restaurants and bars to scout and report back on where you must run, not walk, next for an unbeatable meal in the #843.

We are so excited to partner with various local charities through our TastemakersCHS Charity Partnership Program and use the power of Instagram to give back to a city we love so much. To date, we have raised over $65,000 for 40 of Charleston’s incredible nonprofits.

Charlotte Berger, @CharlotteBergerCHS & @CharlotteBergerPR

Founder of TastemakersCHS, Charlotte created Charleston’s culinary social media club in 2016 to connect influencers, restaurants and nonprofits together under one umbrella. Charlotte serves at the founder of CharlotteBergerPR, where she assists in PR, Social Media and Influencer Marketing for a variety of Charleston restaurants and nonprofits- her two favorite industries!

Stephanie Lee, @CharlestonFoodieBabe

Stephanie Lee is the face and brains behind one of Charleston’s most popular food accounts-@CharlestonFoodieBabe. She loves sharing her experiences exploring the Lowcountry’s robust dining scene with her followers. In 2016, Stephanie founded GRUB x GOODWILL, an annual social media-based charitable giving event that seeks to raise funds, community involvement, and awareness for various local nonprofits.

Jai Jones, @Jaieats

Jai Jones created his Jai Eats blog as a way to share his favorites. Writing from Charleston SC, there's never a shortage of good restaurants and drinks for him to share. Inspired by the way everyone comes together because of food, Jai's blog shares favorites in hopes of making them yours too.

Libby Williams, @PlateSouth

Libby Williams is a photographer, blogger for PlateSouth, graphic designer, mother of one, and a huge foodie. She always told her close personal friends that if she didn’t go to art school, she would have ended up becoming a chef. She loves food and the culture around it so much, and decided to make it her passion.

Dominique Mackins, @CharlestonFitFoodie

Dominique Mackins is a California native, major foodie and creator of her Charleston Fit Foodie blog. Dominique is always seeking out the health food scene and beyond in Charleston. She is a Registered Nurse and Whole30 certified coach who loves creating healthy recipes for her family, friends, patients, and clients. When she is not in the kitchen, she loves exploring the food scene in Charleston. Dominique loves to take the time to experience a new restaurant and really enjoy the food and company she is surrounded by.

Elise Devoe, @CookinWithBooze

With a childhood name of Booze, Elise decided to combine her love of cooking with her love of Charleston’s food scene to create her blog Cookin’ With Booze. Featuring restaurant reviews, event recaps, and Booze-approved cocktails of the week, Elise’s blog is a must-visit for #843 foodies looking for their next culinary adventure.

Miguel Buencamino, @Holycityhandcraft

Miguel grew up in Orlando, FL. His background stems from a love for cooking with his grandmothers. Learning from family and his time testing recipes in the kitchen, Miguel created Holy City Handcraft as a way to share his adventures in the kitchen either cooking or mixing cocktails.
