The McConnell Foundation

We are so excited to be working with The McConnell Foundation which raises funds for pediatric cancer research performed locally in Charleston. Jen and Josh McConnell of McConnell Real Estate Partners started the foundation in 2021 after their son Bodhi’s battle with cancer. When Bodhi was less than a year old, he was diagnosed with stage 3 neuroblastoma. Thankfully, he was declared cancer free after four months of treatments, under the expert care of his medical team.

Approximately 16,000 children per year are diagnosed with pediatric cancer, with cancer the leading cause of death among children. The mission of The McConnell Foundation is to support research for better treatments and ultimately a cure for childhood cancer.

During the months of April, May and June, we were so thankful to have support from our restaurant partners- Maya, Cabana Burgers & Shakes and Minero- to raise awareness and funds for the Foundation through our charity giveback program. Their June 18 gala at Harborside East, which our members helped with promoting on social media, was a huge success, raising over $44k for their incredible mission!
