Chef Mike prepared a fun (and filling) evening for us, as we filed into the brightly-lit space and were greeted with a refreshing Watermelon Mojito- which was just as refreshing as it sounds.

We dove head first into the evening with the Peaches appetizer, which starts with ripe juicy fruit from GrowFood, alongwith a layer of avocado mousse and housemade boursin, and next indulged in Chef Mike’s Shrimp Ceviche with fresh shrimp from Tarvin Seafood, tomato, cucumber, avocado, and red onion.

Next, we nibbled on one of the best Caesar Salads we have ever tried, while simultaneously gushing over the perfectly seasoned, crispy french fries (because- balance😉), which were PERFECTLY salty, crispy and seasoned.

Patois’ lovely GM Melissa then treated us all to Mezcal Negronis as we swooned over Chef’s Curry with butter bean, crowder pea, carrot, coconut gravy and rice, followed by the braised Brisket with sweet corn puree, confit tomato, radish and cilantro.

It’s always tough to save room for dessert at these kinds of events, but we managed to still enjoy Patois’ Flan and an array of super chewy and chocolatey cookies.

Lucky for us, we got to spend the evening with two members of the Pet Helpers SC family, a local nonprofit that works to end the euthanasia of all adoptable dogs and cats by operating a no-kill shelter, promoting forever adoptions and humane education, and providing low-cost spay/neuter surgeries.

Throughout the month of August, $1 from every Peach Salad and Curry will be donated to this incredible organization. Enjoying a fabulous meal while helping out a local animal shelter? We can’t think of anything better.

Patois is open for lunch and dinner, Tuesday - Saturday from 11:15 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. and 5-9p.m. - Stay tuned for their upcoming happy hour deals and brunch menu!

Fun fact about Patois: not sure what you want to order? Ask for the ‘Chef’s Dinner,’ where you will be served Chef’s choice one appetizer, one entréee and one side for just $35!
